“Youtuber” has become a common term in our life and needless to say day after day many are choosing YouTube as their integral part of life. Not just because it gives you the freedom to showcase the world who you really are, but it also has the power to make you a sensation. Greed, power and the thirst to be a celebrity overnight are pushing many to the verge of ruining their lives. How far are you willing to go to be recognized worldwide?
A pregnant US teen, 19 year old Monalisa Perez from Minnesota accidentally shot her boyfriend to death in a YouTube stunt gone totally wrong. She was charged for second degree manslaughter after she shot at Pedro Ruiz.
Monalisa was pregnant with her second child due in September. She also has a child who is 3 years old. Claudia Ruiz, Pedro’s aunt told that they did this to increase their followers on social media. “He had told me about that idea and I said, ‘Don’t do it. Don’t do it. Why are you going to use a gun? Why?’” Claudia was quoted saying by WDAY-TV. The idea behind the stunt was that, Monalisa would shoot at Pedro and he would block the bullet by holding a book to his chest. County attorney James Brue said the book used was a hard-cover encyclopedia and the handgun was a .50-calibre Desert Eagle.
Apparently neighbours had also gathered to witness this stunt. Saddest part of the whole story, beside Pedro losing his life, is the fact that a 3 year old had to see his 19 year old mother shoot at Pedro.

Monalisa reportedly told the judges that the entire stunt was Pedro’s idea and he convinced her to do so.
